Putting myself out there!
Last week, I had a couple of in-person auditions in the city as I continue my quest back to performing full-time.
The first audition I had was just ‘okay’ for my personal standards. I sounded great, but I wasn’t feeling it that day. I don’t know if it was because of the usual doubts I have or if it was the fact that I just made it to the room when they called my name (thanks NJ Transit).
The second audition I had the next day was phenomenal. Sounded great, my acting was where it needed to be, and the panel was smiling the entire time. Hopefully I did enough to land the gig and be one of the 3% of union actors to have a job!
I’ll probably start work on revising my musical soon. The pianist my band leader recruited is a super talented musician and is going to help revise the orchestrations because he’s a music theory nerd and I’m not. I’m still over the moon the show was recognized by the festival as one of the season’s best for the Fall/Winter session. We did something right!
